From Erin:
I hold advanced degrees in several languages, several literary traditions, and Christian ministry. Having graduated summa cum laude from UC Berkeley and then gone on to earn a teaching certificate, study on a Fulbright, and earn masters degrees in German, Comparative Literature, and Christian Missional Leadership, I feel confident that I can help persons of all ages and from all walks of life. I have taught at the elementary, junior high, high school, and college levels, and have served districts as a language learning specialist, department chair and English and World Language Instructor. Additionally, I was a Stephen Minister for five years and a ministry intern for one year, where I preached and administered the sacraments. I value building strong relationships with each person and the mentors who have most inspired me serve as my current role models: they were accessible, available, provided ample feedback, and weren’t afraid to change course as my needs evolved. Just as important, they were receptive to the feedback that I gave them, and encouraging and non-judgmental. I welcome the opportunity to speak to you and to hear how I can best meet your needs or potentially collaborate with your organization. My writing and speaking have appeared in The Seattle Times, Slate, Wesleyan Theological Journal, among other outlets, and I have authored three acclaimed books.
